A job search can take hours and even days to complete online, but that can change if you’ve found a suitable job.
The process of applying for a job at one of India’s most popular fast food restaurants is as much about getting the right person as it is about the job itself.
A job posting posted on the job website of McDonalds India has all the required details.
There’s a salary, a position, an interview and a description.
However, there’s no guarantee that the person you get will be the person who will get you the job.
If you’re not sure what you want to do, try and read the job description, says K.R. Gupta, a senior lecturer at the Centre for Entrepreneurship Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University.
“It will give you an idea of what it’s about,” he says.
The job seeker should be able to speak English, understand the job’s requirements and understand how it will be carried out.
There should be a requirement to complete the course before starting.
The job posting also states that the applicant must be able “to meet the following requirements”:To find a job in the fast food sector in India, it’s necessary to know the minimum qualifications of a McDonalds employee.
If you don’t have a McDonald’s employee to speak to, ask for a one-on-one interview, says Gupta.
“There’s a good chance you will be offered a job,” he adds.
If the job seeker meets the requirements, he or she should be offered an interview at the McDonalds.
The company will pay you Rs1,500 per hour, Gupta says.
But don’t expect to get a job for free.
The McDonalds job search page states that it is “commissioned by a professional, who is a McDonald employee.
The person is expected to complete a rigorous set of tests to ensure the hiring process is fair and transparent”.
The person will be required to pass a series of exams, such as the Human Resource Development (HRD) test, and complete two years of training.
The interview will be with a McDonald employees supervisor, says a McDonald India spokesperson.
However this does not guarantee a job.
It can be a job with a lower pay and/or less flexibility, Gupta explains.
The McDonalds company is also required to verify that you meet the company’s minimum requirements.
The hiring process of a job is conducted by the person hiring the job, Gupta adds.
“The process is not only done by the individual hiring the person, but also by the McDonald’s company itself,” he notes.
“We need to look at the skills of the individual, the qualifications of the person and the environment in which they work,” he continues.
“I would say that the hiring person should be very motivated and a very committed person.”
The McDonald’s job seekers should also be prepared to work for a minimum of 12 months, Gupta states.
“After that, the company is going to contact the employee who will then be responsible for providing them with all the necessary documentation,” he states.
The process of hiring is a lengthy one, Gupta notes.
“We are looking for candidates who can work in different areas of the restaurant.
The position will be open for six months,” he explains.
After this period, the McDonald employees manager will make sure that the candidate meets the minimum requirements of the job and that they are motivated.
Once the candidate is confirmed, the job can be done.
“As a McDonald, you can work for up to 18 months without having to be employed again,” Gupta says, adding that the company will contact the candidate for further training.
If your application is rejected, you’ll have to wait for it to be reconsidered, Gupta concludes.
The company has made a point of hiring the best candidate possible.
“In case a person is not suitable, they will be asked to reconsider their decision,” he informs.
“Once we have had time to reevaluate, the person will then receive the job,” Gupta adds, referring to the company.
The only downside to the job search process is that the McDonald job search website has been updated.
“McDonalds is looking for highly motivated, skilled candidates to help ensure a quality McDonalds experience,” a spokesperson for the company says in a statement to Quartz.
“Candidates should be prepared for an extensive interview and should be ready to work.”
The McDonald’s website now includes a section for job search questions and answers, which is helpful.
