Linkedin is the leading job search platform in Italy and its job seekers can also find job opportunities with Google, according to a new study by the company.
The study, conducted by The New York Times and PricewaterhouseCoopers, examined more than 4,000 jobs in Italy in a bid to better understand the market for Italian job seekers.
The survey found that the top five most searched keywords for Italian jobs were ‘jobs’, ‘job posting’, ‘internship’ and ‘jobs in construction’.
However, the top ten most searched job title was ‘professional development and technical skills’, which is an industry that has been growing in Italy, the study found.
The top search terms for job seekers in the United States were ‘business development’, ‘management’ and, unsurprisingly, ‘technology’.
The study also revealed that there was a correlation between job search engines and LinkedIn, with the former ranking higher in the search results than the latter.
In the US, Google was number one in terms of searches, followed by LinkedIn, Yahoo, Facebook, Amazon, LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.
While in Italy the top search engine was Google, followed closely by Yahoo, Google and Facebook.
The data was compiled from the jobs on LinkedIn, which was the second most searched website in Italy.
However, it was also revealed in the study that LinkedIn has an international presence, with employees in more than 40 countries and territories around the world.
The jobs that were most searched on LinkedIn were ‘personal development’, while job postings were most commonly searched for in the field of health and wellness.
This trend is likely to continue as the companies’ share of the global online workforce grows.
