– Staff reporterIn January 2017, Israeli soldiers invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East Jerusalem and set off an Israeli airstrike.
Since then, the Al Aqsa mosque compound has become the scene of a decades-long struggle between Israelis and Palestinians for control of the holy site.
Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip are still waiting to see if the Israeli authorities will allow them to pray at the compound.
The Israeli military and Israeli settlers have been accused of destroying the mosque compound in the past, while Israeli settlers in the West Bank have built dozens of new homes, and settlers have erected dozens of homes in the city.
Israeli settlers have also used bulldozers and metal detectors to enter the Al Haramam compound, in the eastern part of the Old City, a Palestinian holy site revered by Muslims as the site of the Prophet Muhammad’s final resting place.
The Israeli army has also been accused in the latest attack on the Al Arabiya television station, which was located in Al-Quds, an area that is home to the Al Nusrah Front, a terrorist organization.
Israeli soldiers have also demolished a Palestinian family home in al-Qader, in Ramallah, and arrested two residents of al-Araqib neighborhood, who were accused of attempting to enter Israel illegally, the Israeli human rights group B’Tselem said.
In the last three weeks, Israeli forces have demolished Palestinian homes in al-‘Arqam and al-Sha’ir, a neighborhood in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of al-‘Arabiyya, according to the B’Tsirlem report.
In al-‘Aqib, Israeli troops also attacked a home, demolished two cars and detained five Palestinians.
In June, Israeli settlers demolished a house belonging to a Palestinian who lived in the area.
The residents had lived there for decades and had a large Palestinian presence, B’Tiem said.
The settlers also confiscated a number of Palestinian property.
In December, Israeli police officers arrested three Palestinian men for throwing stones at a group of Israeli police and soldiers in the al-Nabi Saleh neighborhood of the city of Jerusalem.
In a separate incident, Israeli military personnel shot a Palestinian man in the head during clashes with Palestinian protesters during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, according the Palestinian Center for Human Rights.
Israeli security forces also shot and killed a Palestinian in a Hebron area, the Palestinian center said.
A Palestinian woman was also shot dead on Sunday by Israeli security forces in the central West Bank city of Hebron, the West Jerusalem-based Al Jazeera news agency reported.
Israelis are also suspected of using live fire in an incident in the southern occupied West bank on Monday.
Israeli security officials said that three Palestinians were wounded after Israeli forces fired live fire at the group of Palestinians.
