Functions include, but are not limited to, police officers for patrolling, investigating crimes, conducting traffic enforcement, and providing customer service. Other positions include criminal justice professionals, such as crime analysts and legal experts. Applicants must meet specific criteria, including having the physical and mental ability to complete the job requirements. Additionally, all candidates must pass a background check, drug test, and mental health screening. Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, or a related field, or equivalent military experience. Three years of experience in law enforcement or a similar field, or at least two years of service in the armed forces. Candidates with additional training and certifications will be given preference. Good physical stamina, effective communication and decision-making skills, and experience operating computers or other technology.
